Baked Bananas

We are all aware that bananas offer us a hit of energy when we need it. This recipe is delicious and is also kid-friendly. It’s a scrumptious way of having a banana. 

  • 2 Bananas
  • 1/2 Lime (juice of)
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200c / 400f and line a baking tray with baking paper or foil. 
  2. Slice the bananas in half, lengthways, with the skin still on (see note 1)
  3. Place the bananas on the prepared baking tray and squeeze the lime juice evenly over the bananas. Sprinkle the cinnamon on top. 
  4. Bake for 15 mins.

 

Leave to cool slightly and serve up!

*You can add additional toppings, I love to add sliced almonds and desiccated coconut. 

*These can be eaten on their own or add in a bit of ice cream for a dessert option or I enjoy it with some natural yoghurt and honey.
