Fresh Juicing

I was big into juicing for a good few years. To be honest, I prefer my smoothies now but still enjoy a bit of juicing from time to time

You will need a good juicer, to begin with.

Below is generally what I put into my juices.

150reen juiceg Spinach –  One of our superfoods. It is loaded with tons of nutrients dark leafy greens, full of protein, iron, vitamins, and minerals. Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), manganese, folate, copper, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium and vitamin C

Celery 3 stalks -Celery contains a plant compound called apigenin, which plays a role in traditional Chinese medicine as an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, and antioxidant agent. Celery contains vitamin C, beta carotene, and flavonoids, but there are at least 12 additional kinds of antioxidant nutrients found in a single stalk. Full of vitamins, K, A and E.

1 inch of fresh ginger rootGinger may have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, 

antiviral, and other healthful properties. Among many of its benefits, It helps with digestion, nausea, reduces inflammation, great for colds, flu and sore throats

½ Lemon Rind removed – Lemons are a fantastic source of Vitamin C, they help with fatigue, skin, joint pain, digestion and the common cold or flu.

1 Cucumber – Mainly made up of water which aids in our essential hydration, they also contain vitamin K, calcium and magnesium, great for skin and inflammation. 

Pineapple – 4 slices choppedPineapples are rich in vitamins, enzymes and antioxidants. They may help boost the immune system, build strong bones and aid indigestion. And, despite their sweetness, pineapples are low in calories. They contain high amounts of vitamin C and manganese, pineapples also contain high amounts of thiamin and B vitamin that is involved in energy production

Bunch of Parsley – Is full of nutrients such as vitamin C, K and A. It’s Great for the skin, helps with digestion, known to improve bone health, freshens breath, helps with kidney infections, and known to help with eyesight.

 

*you can also juice many other vegetables and fruits such as carrots, beetroot, apples, oranges. Mix it up yourself to what you like!
